1972 MPC Pirates of the Caribbean Model Kit – Walt Disney – Dead Men Tell No Tales. Tom Killeen is well known in the film industry as a movie magic specialist. Killeen works behind the scenes of the art department tirelessly. He is known for creating and painting designs that help actors morph into the characters they portray or transforming the entire imaginary world around them. Presented are items from his personal collection. Some of the items are direct from film sets and others are project models he has worked on. Rare and very interesting vintage Pirate Sword Prop from Disney Studios. Sword is well made, studio aged and distressed. Blade and hilt are made of metal. Grip is made of wood and has been painted black by production. Comes directly from Walt Disney Studio Archives. Overall very good condition. (See pics) Shows signs of wear from age, use in production, and storage. Some small cracks in the wood grip, but grip is still very much intact. Comes with copy Certificate of Authenticity. This vintage pirate sword was likely used in Disney theme park attractions including Pirate of the Caribbean and Skull Rock Cove. The wardrobes and props on the animatronic figures on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride have been changed out frequently. This is one of the nicer vintage prop swords from the Disney Studios Archives that I have
